Please note: Colne Library now closes to the public at 6pm on Wednesdays. The meeting room will only be available for the Society from 7pm with access to the building via the rear entrance, facing the Dockray Street public car park (which is currently free in the evenings).

An event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Lancashire Archives will take place on Sunday 1 March from 11am to 3pm. At this event, the Preston Family History Society will hold surgeries and other local and family history organisations will be on hand to offer help and advice. Some of the objects from the family and estate collections will also be on display. People attending the event will be able to enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour, and refreshments. There is no need to book a place at this event - just turn up!
